New (need help w/codes)
I'm new to this site and to owning a Corvette. I have a 73 which is all original and I'm working on to clean up for a daily driver (only on good days). Can anyone tell me where to look to verify the trim code (422) and color code (980)? I need to purchase interior piece and would like to make sure I order the correct color. I'm in the process of gathering the parts to change the rear window to a removable one. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: New (c3maddox)
Color code 980 is Orange, sorry I don't have the 422 code. If this helps, the interior colors were Black, midnight blue, dark red, dark saddle, and medium saddle.

There is an embossed metal tag on the driver's side forward door pillar. Open the door and you'll see the tag on the front of the birdcage (that area behind the front fender) It will tell you your paint code, trim code, and build date.

Looks like they covered it all for you. The 980 is Orange and the 422 is dark saddle leather.
For details on the 73, check out "The '73 Spot" below.

Re: New (Easy Mike)
Thanks for all the replys. I will keep all the parts that I switch and if I every sell it the buyer will be able to put them back in if they want. I hear that with the window out the ride is quiter.

Re: New (gerry72)
I would think the wind would be better instead of it being trapped in the car????
