Default The piece you need to make a 700-R4 work with a Holley.

It's been so long since i've done work to my car that I forgot I have pieces of it all over the house. I just found this and thought it would be of interest. I got it from my local speed shop. Holley makes it, can't remember the number. Just ask and they'll know. Bolts to the carb flange and has a small notch on it to keep it from turning. Allows use of the throttle pressure cable and throttle linkage all in one.

Thanks -- I will get one and chrome it, or powder coat. The one I have is crappy looking.

Here's a couple more pictures of how it works.

I don't know, i've only recently got back into computers. For years, and I mean years I had a 486 that I drove into the ground. It eventually got so slow (14.4 modem) that I just quit alltogether. Any interneting I did was at libraries or friend's houses. I have something half decent now with a high speed cable connection so I got spoiled real quick and pretty much live at my computer workstation now. I was around a couple years ago, just not on the Corvette Forum.

So how did you get you tranny and throttle cables to work anyway?

What i have is total custom. I ended up altering everything that I had with my old Edelbrock 750. I bought and returned 3 or 4 models from Summit. But your holley part looks right. I've got a powder coater so I'll see if it works and go from there.

Spectra makes the same kind of mount that the throttle and kickdown are both adjustable and it does come in chrome. Roughly about $10...

Part #2418 for manual trans.
Part #2428 for automatic trans.

It must be real nice to live close to Summit. Pretty much any part you want at your disposal. If I order something from them and it isn't right I gotta pay shipping again. All we really have in my city is a small speed shop with over priced parts. My overpaying there helps fund his Pro Stock race car. And he closes without notice with a sign on the door because he's gone to WinterNationals or something.

Actually I don't live close to them at all... I do work at a speedshop parttime though, so yes I have access to parts quite easily. I'm not a particular fan of mail order, basically because they sell at jobber prices. So the "little" guy speedshop who is a jobber kinda gets screwed. Luckily the guy I work for has been in business for about 20+ years, so we can come close, but never claim we will match. On the flipside, mail order is the only available route for alot of people and I can't find fault for them going that way.

I just bought 2 Aeromotive regulators from Summit because our warehouse doesn't stock that manufacture. So even though I may enjoy the "grab" it off the shelf opportunity, I still occasionally will do the mail order route myself.

I hear both good and bad... Ya just go with the options given to ya.

I tried the spectra mount and it doesn't work. It's not a ridged enough mount and the max. spacing adjustment wasn't enough. This was not caused by my tall single plane and 1/2 inch wood spacer.
