Default What to use to plug A.I.R. holes on Exhaust Manifolds

I have a pair of correct exhaust manifolds, with A.I.R., for my 1970 350/370 engine. I want to mount them but do not have the A.I.R. system on the engine right now. What can I use to plug the holes correctly?

I have used brass plugs I have gotten from the plumbing store. I used some thread sealer but had to keep an eye on them as they wanted to back out. I solved the problem by installing a set of Hedman headers!

1/4" straight pipe plugs, straight pipe not the normal tapered pipe threads.

If the manifolds are off (and it sounds like they are), then just take one into a hardware store and check the different plugs. I actually went to autozone and they had pipe plugs that fit mine. Used an allen wrench. You'll want to use anti-seize on them in case you ever want to remove them later. I plan on installing headers at a later date but wanted to remove the A.I.R. pump now as the belt was already off and it's really no use to me, just extra weight.

I too used brass plugs, from NAPA. They worked great, but I look forward to replacing with headers.
