Decals for coolant and fuel on a 77 L48
As specifically as possible, can you please describe where the "Coolant Only" and "Unleaded Fuel Only" decals are placed on the Coolant reservoir and at the gas tank?

I've been told the book is not 100% accurate (what is?), but FWIW, here are a couple of pics from the "Vette Vues Fact Book of the 1973-1977 Stingray" (hmmm, 1977 wasn't a Stingray, guess that's the first mistake, eh) book by M.F. Dobbins (I think it's a good book):
gas door (I'm not sure how to interpret the captions on this page? Maybe '77 was the only year to offer white because it was the only year from '73 to '77 that offered black as an exterior color?) -- http://users.erols.com/jerryp58/corv...eadedlabel.jpg

Re: Decals for coolant and fuel on a 77 L48 (1975 Stingray)
1975 Stingray, I've never fiddled much with mylar. I'm pretty sure it's made it different thicknesses. The few decals I've purchased seem to be made of something stronger than paper, but I'm not sure it's mylar. I guess someone at the catalog company might be able to answer that.
virtue4u, maybe you could find out when you get yours.

Re: Decals for coolant and fuel on a 77 L48 (paul79)
Dear Paul,
The picture you show of the decal for the coolant is what the AIM depicts for a 1977; however, there must have been a change sometime in 1977. My coolant cap has two hoses entering the reservoir -- one from the radiator and the other is the overflow hose. There is no way that the label went on that cap. Anyone know if there was a design change in 1977? My car was made in October 1976.

My '77 has a rectantular florescent orange decal on the coolant recovery tank whick reads:
WARNING
Engine Coolant Only
The Unleaded fuel decal is similiar to Paul's on the gas door.
