How to tighten up Sun Visor
I finally got around to replacing the passenger side sun visor over the weekend. Like I've read from others, it's loose and drops while driving. How do you squeeze the inner tube without damaging the vinle on the visor. I put a pair of plyers on it and decided not to without asking first. How hard do you have t squeeze? I'd hate to close up the tube all together..

I took mine back off, placed it on the ground, wrapped it in a towel and hit it with a rubber mallet (kinda like what I do to my wife when she's been bad) ;)

I have the same problem with my visor always falling down when driving, Is it just this inner tube within the visor that needs to be compressed ? Not sure if this would be the proper method, I have not taken my visor apart but is their something else that could be done to fix it properly ? Not sure where to start with this problem but it is driving me nuts
Thanks

The only way to make it tighter is by bending the tube in the visor itself. So the only thing you can do is compress it some.

I agree with Rhys in his method of installing the little plastic piece. Be careful on how hard you tap it, using light taps will work its way in place

But you don't agree that it is a good way to take care of the wife??? ;)
I didn't say anything about a plastic piece. The tube in the visor is metal.
