How much dye does it take to re-dye the interior the same color, not including the seats and carpet?

When I did my front seats I used 1 can for each seat. That was 3 light coats on each seat. I'd guess about 3 cans to do everything else.

I did my shift console and e-brake cover, it took one can. I did several light coats, works VERY well. The e-brake cover was gray, I turned it black with several light coats and it turned out well.

Budget one spray can just for those 2.

yogi78,
I changed my interior color on my 74 from black to red. I purchsed a quart can of dye andsprayed it with a spray gun. This was not enought to do the whole interior [ less the seats and the carpet]. I needed 3 more aerosol cans to complete the job. If you are not changing colors I would think you could complete the interior with 4-8 aerosol cans. The quart cans are cheaper if you can use a spray gun. Good luck.

I redyed my interior using spray cans, and I used a lot more dye than I had planned. Don't remember exactly, but I believe about 10 cans.

I did my whole interior minus seats and carpet, took two Quarts but some of my interior was red and I was changing it to Med Saddle Tan. Other cars I've done took only a quart because I wasn't changing the color.

Complete interior dye using the same color, took 6 cans of aerosol with 3-4 light coats. All interior side and head trim, dash pads, door panels, P-brake counsil, and shoulder harness covers included. Didn't do seats or carpet.
