FYI My wife and I are expecting.....
No, not another vette. I wish.
We are expecting our first dependent.
Due in July, 2002. I hope I get the vette running well by then.
I hear stories that babies take most of the toy money away.
Just wanted to share the info.

Congradulations. Do you think it's a boy or a girl? And are you going to teach him/her how to be a Corvette hotrodder?
(Daniel, sweet picture. How come you didn't submit it for the Corvette Calender? I'd have picked it).

Re: FYI My wife and I are expecting..... (MoMo)
thanks Momo...I think when they where recruiting pictures for the calender, mine was still black/fiberglass. Plus that picture has flaws, like I don't have door panels in that picture(if you look close you can tell), also the pillars are black but the thing across the top is chrome(took pics in middle of stripping black paint off window molding). One day I'll line the car back up, climb back up on the pump house, and retake the picture. I havn't been able to lately because of things, but perhaps I'll do it before the week is out(since you've inspired me with your kind words).
Thanks again, I have another one at night from the back of the car and people here said my tail lights looked like exaust from a jet... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=174936

Congratuations. We had our first almost six months ago. I can say that the "toy money" is still there (for mine and the child's). However, I can't seem to find any darn time for my toy any more. Good luck.

Congrats!!!!! I have 4 kids spreading over 13 years! The last was born last March. Kids won't take away from your "toy money" as long as you plan ahead. The young years don't take that much money. It is the years after high school you that will cost you (College). I will be in broke in the near future.

My congrats to you. My wife and I had our first 3 1/2 months ago. Get as much done as you can before the bebe gets there. I find that what I am lacking the most now is time. Mom always needs help feeding or changing or rinsing the binky. Maybe you will get lucky and have a perfect baby. My little boy has colich, a serious case of reflux, and an uneven skull. Got to make an appointment with a neorologist for that. So far he hasn't dipped into the checking account too bad, but we need a bigger house, and that will put a number on the finances for sure. FYI you can see a pick of my boy and vette on my home page. Best of luck. I am willing to share my knowledge of babies anytime as well. :)

Congradulations, get as much sleep as you can now. Everyone will tell you that and it is true. There will come a time where you would almost trade your Vette for eight hours of sleep.

Congrats!!
I can't say they take away your toy money because after my son was born I bought my first Vette to restore. I have been taking the little guy to the garage with me since he was about 2 months old. put up a little tykes swing, give him a push and he was happy as could be. Now he's 2 1/2 years old and his toys take up have my garage :D Check out my website for pics of the little guy working on the Vette during tear down and reassemble. God I love that little guy !!!! By the way, my son was a none sleeper until he was about 18 months old. My wife and I still haven't caught up on our sleep yet.

Just make sure you teach the kid the "way of the vette", and I'm positive he/she will turn out just fine!
Congrats!
