I know there must be one or two c3 friendly clubs around town, but I’ve only seen an entourage of c5’s at the 3 shows I’ve been to so far. Seeing all those new Vettes and a pathetic spattering of vintage sharks does absolutely nothing for me. I think it’s time for a c2/c3 uprising in the D/FW area!

Lonestar Corvettes in Dallas has a very large membership and lots of C2's and C3's. I'm in Fort Worth and joined Cowtown Vettes. They are mostly into Autocross but do participate in some shows. I'll probably join Lonestar after our baby gets a little older and we have time to participate.

I live in Plano and my main interest has been autocross and maybe a few high speed events (timed runs, one car on the track at a time), but I haven't found a local club for that. Seems the only guys into that are the Porche folks.

Most clubs seem to be show and shine. My 20 year old paint sure doesn't shine anymore.

My wife and I belong to both Lone Star Corvette Club and Cowtown. As
74-roadster said, Cowtown is mostly into racing. We enjoy cruises and
car shows. Both are good clubs with very nice people. If we can be of
any assistance please let me know.

I'm in the same boat! Would like to find club with same interest. Show and shine can be fun too! Went to two meetings with Cowtown and they seemed to be all about raceing! We have been (before the cold weather) having a pretty good group show up on Friday nights in Arlington. Some talk about starting our own club but nobody wanting to commit the time. Cruising would be cool too.
