OK I saw what you would get if you could keep your corvette and bought a 2nd car. But if you had to sell your vette to get another car what car would you sell your vette for? ( And killing yourself is not an answer..!) :lol:

I know if I had to sell my car for another car I would go for a A/C cobra or GT-40 :cool:

If the guy is willing to pay enough money most any car can be bought. The reason I have my present Corvette is that a doctor from South Carolina saw my Lotus Cortina on my website and asked me if it was for sale. I told him "no" and then he emailed me back and asked "If I make you an offer that you can't refuse would it be for sale"? I told him to make the offer and that was when I realized he wanted it worse than I did. I think I have a pretty nice Vette and if someone wanted to buy it right now he would have to have quite a pocket full of change.

I would sell it for 11,500. That includes two engines(#'s matching and my fun engine), two transmissions (TH-400, TH-350), and two rearends (3.08 and 4.56). One of each is currently in the car. :D

I suppose I'd go for an engine- and transmission-less '63-'65 Chevy II if it was already converted to a V8 configuration and had an old-school straight-axle front end.

A 2,300-pound car vs. a 3,600-pound car. You do the math, man.

Eventually, after I'm done restoring & Top Flighting & driving it and using up the low mileage myself (instead of saving it for someone else!) I will sell Sophia and get a 1970 LT-1 Convertible. :D Preferably a yellow one. :D There I said it. Funny.... just today I was waiting for my son at the high school, and another dad pulled up in his Suburban and told me he loved my car!! I said, "Thanks! :) ".... he said, "Give me a call if you decide to sell it!" and he drove off.... I thought about it for a second, and then did a big smoky burnout and chased him down the street..... but he was too far in front of me and got away :( just kidding! not for sale!! (make me an offer! )
