Annual Giving Campaign Announced by Corvette Museum
New Projects Initiated By Campaign Continue the Mission

The National Corvette Museum has announced plans for its annual giving campaign initiated to fund needed projects. Contributions to the campaign will be used to fund projects that are very important to the Museum’s future plans in exceeding visitor expectations, as well as improvements that continue moving the Museum forward as an educational resource center.

NCM Executive Director Wendell Strode stated that special projects must be funded by means other than day-to-day operations. The Museum recently celebrated its 7th Anniversary as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation, supported by Corvette enthusiasts worldwide. “All of the funds raised through the campaign will be placed in a restricted account and used for designated projects,” states Strode. “We continue to manage generating revenue to cover overhead and original debt needed to construct and equip the Museum, but must constantly be innovative in offering our visitors new educational experiences, and continue in the direction as the resource center for America’s Sports Car.”

Projects targeted through campaign efforts include hands-on interactive exhibits, simulators, games and learning tools, restoration of historic Corvettes donated to the Museum, general computer upgrades and additional software, additional lighting, storage facility for display cars, resource center upgrades and renovations to the Museum’s interior and exterior. “We encourage Corvette Clubs, Corvette registries and chapters to adopt projects or a portion of one and assist the Museum with this campaign,” Strode stated. “Last years campaign was an amazing show of generosity and heartfelt support. We can only hope that supporters will once again contribute to the mission of taking the Museum to a higher level.”

Donations of any amount are welcome. Contributions may be in the form of check stocks, bonds, cars or real estate. Contributors of $50 or more will receive a special dash plaque commemorating their participation in the campaign.
