I am thinking of selling my project car. Had it for over a year and haven't touched it. Can't decide. Anyway it got me thinking... When would be the best time of year to sell a roadster project car? Best being defined as getting the most money for it :). The fall to winter time is good because there is a lot more working on cars going on than driving them. The spring or summer time is good because it is a convertible and people tend to pay more for convertibles then. What do you think?

what about when the sesions change from summer to fall...about 3 weeks before then. People are still in the mood for verts then, and they realize the winter is coming soon, so they will have time to work on a car...Of course, if you find the right person, the season doesn't matter. You also have to look at wifes buying "christmas presents" for the hubbies. .............I don't know about that last one...........:crazy:


Thats just my idea of a good time to sell a roadster.

In GENERAL, I'd say sell it around tax (refund) time in the north, and fall in the south. But you really can sell it anytime.

Well I say sell it in fall if it is not road ready...if it is in working condition, in spring.

Actually it has been perfect convertible weather down here the past two weeks. Sunny and highs in the low 70s. Probably a good time to sell locally...

I will probably list the car on Ebay if I sell though. I have seen project cars go for ridiculous prices on there. Maybe I would get lucky.
