Re: need c3 measurements for trailer purchase (71DropTop)
I use an 18' dovetail. The main thing to look for is clearance for the doors. Your standard car trailer will not allow you to open the doors fully because of the wheel wells. Make sure the dealer understands you need a trailer for low profile cars.

63 What is your width and do you have the full cover of diamond plate or just the wheel tracks and is it open (hope you understand the question)

I'll make some complete measurements for you in a few of hours. It is open with a full diamond plate floor. I would opt for an aluminum trailer if I did it again. Mine is rather heavy and I wouldn't want to use anything but a full-size V8 truck to pull it.

I'm planning on using an expedition with the 5.4 L to pull, it has a 7500 # towing capacity and thanks for the help

Re: need c3 measurements for trailer purchase (71DropTop)
63Banshee has said it all. I have a 16' open trailer. Have put a lot of cars on it. Can tow my 54 and 63 with ease, but with a shark, the doors will not open over the trailer fenders. That fact has brought about some interesting incidents....crawling through the open T Tops on my neighbors 68, towing with the top down on a roadster...all because you can't open the car doors....you have to crawl down into the car. :) Try to find a trailer with a low profile, or maybe one that has removable trailer fenders. Hope this helps. Chuck

Anyway, here is what you needed:
I didn't note it but it has hidden ramps... nice feature.

I solved that problem by buying a well cargo enclosed trailer, 20' by 98" wheelbase. Good storage when not moving car. :D :D

maybe i'm wrong but I just can't see how the removeable fenders will help because the wheels are still there.... I wonder if it would be easier with my vert to get in and out BTW the trailer looks nice!! Thanks

Mine is 8' X 16' Does fine with a Vette. Be sure to get the one that the fender will raise up, then you can open your door with no problem.
LohKay, There are plenty times when you need a trailer. When I go to buy a Vette. I can not drive two cars home at the same time. When, I go to Corvette Expo. in Knoxville to sell a Vette. If I drive the Vette, and then sell it, I would have to walk home 350 miles. They come in handy all the time.

Re: need c3 measurements for trailer purchase (redwingvette)
I've had mine for about 6 years now and it was around $1600 new. Your $2200 figure might be only a bit high. Good luck!

1 When looking at trailers try to get one with rear ramps. It is too hard to move side ramps around to the back.
2 If your car sits too low you can add 2 x 12 runners to raise the car up which should clear the fenders . I have several frends that had to do that
3 Most defendly get electric brakes
4 18 foot would have more uses then a 16 ft
Good luck :chevy
