Antenna Flags
I really like the Antenna flags on the back of a Shark, very sexy!
I bought one, stuck it on and drove to the hardware store...it was gone!
I bought another one hot melt glued it on and it's still there, but it's getting pretty ratty, has anyone found a tough antennable Flag that can handle 100mph blasts wit out shredding!? :bb

Re: Antenna Flags (Jester69Stingray)
Some vendors after Sept 11th saw an opportunity to make money: Sell flags. And unfortnately, a lot of the ant. type flags are made very cheaply.
Whats a shame, is as a result, our national symbol ends up tearing off and laying in the road. I picked up 2 myself in one day on a 2 mile stretch or road.
And the ones that do last tend to end up flying ragged at the edges
While the recent display of patriotism is inspiring, we all have a responsibility of properly displaying and caring for our national symbol. To all that wish to display the flag, you may want to avoid the cheaper version out there that dont last
As a 18 year veteran of the US Army Special Forces, its great to see the surge of patriotism. I hope it lasts

Re: Antenna Flags
I have a small cloth flag on my El Camino that has been on since 9/12. The Vette has red, white and blue ribbons... been on since the weekend after and has made to trips to Phoenix and all my local driving.

Re: Antenna Flags (AlwaysWave)
Hey AlwaysWave - How'd you get the C4 antennae to stay UP? Mine goes down everytime I turn the radio or car off?
BTW, I have 2 flags I put in the convertible anchor holes up front when I'm cruising slow / parades etc... I put 3 ribbons on the antennae - red/white/blue and sticker flags in the windows on the glass instead. :)
Some of the flags do look ratty out there now. Those folks who never took down their Xmas lights from last year are probabaly back in season now. Think it's the same people? :jester
