Default Upper dash pad anchor locations

Aside from the upper screws on the lower dash pads and the bracket underneath toward the center next to the windshield, is there anything else that anchors the upper dash pad? According to the AIM diagram, that's it but I just want to be sure before I start disassembling.

There should be clips on either side of the forward edge that clip the dash to lower windshield frame.

Yep I have those. Once all screws are removed, I assume the pad slides back and clips stay with the pad. Correct?

Hey Mark,

I believe you are on the right track removing that dashpad thanks to your knowledge and the other members information. I just wanted to add that in order to remove my dash, I also had to pull the driverside windshield pillar trim, and had to bend the dash in the middle a little to get it out. Regards

Thanks Shutdown....I have the pillar & header trim removed already. They were rusted beyond repair due to an original top leak. I was lucky enough to get LH & RH NOS moldings off eBay for less than repros. I'm going to give the W/S frame the POR-15 treatment first though so I need to get the top pad off in order to do a thorough job.

Mine is lose and lifted up right now to replace the radio speakers. I was afraid of bending it in the middle to take it out. It seemed like it would break before it had enough bend to make it past the pillers. I have both sides molding removed. Good luck
