1,620 lb Christmas Gift -Updated-
After a bit of checking online and suggestions from the Forum my wife got me the ProPark 7L 4 post lift for Christmas.
Here it is after we got it into the garage.
Had it delivered to work since we have a forklift. Unloading from the frieght carrier was a piece of cake, but due to my Driveway configuration getting the blasted thing off the trailer was a bit of work.
It was in good shape and the way it was put together for shipping looks to be well thought out.
Here is the hydraulic pump
A very stout lifting cable
This lift includes a caster kit for moving the lift if needed.
Here are the casters
Here are the brackets that attach the casters to the lift ramps (and our black Lab)
It also included 3 plastic drip trays
This is as far as I got with the unpacking. I am nursing a broken collar bone and I am limited to light lifting with one arm.
Hoping to have the lift up and functional by 01-04-08. I have lined up some of my stronger and taller friends to get it assembled. I will update this post with the progress.
A big THANKS to Art at Greg Smith Equipment. He was a pleasure to deal with and answered all of my wife's questions (since I had only provided her the print out from the web site)
Cheers
Robbie

Nice Christmas present! I guess I was bad this year, no lift for me. Maybe next Christmas!

What an awesome gift. I'm just a tad jealous
Hope the rehab goes well and then you can get down to some serious quality time with the Vette

Looks good Robbie...
When you get your friends to help, make sure you get an engine hoist to do the lifting and you'll only need one friend and in reality, that friend can be your wife. I "muscled" mine the first time I set it up (Me and my brother) then used an engine hoist the second time when I moved.. much easier and no trouble at all... With her assistance mainly helping me guide the runways into place, I was able to dang near do it solo.

Thanks VRROOOM2! I do have a chain hoist I am planning to use. No need to have more than one gimp in on the installation.
