Firestone 500's came stock on my 76. They were campaigned about a year later and replaced with Firestone 721's.

I quote:

"Goodyear Steelgard and Firestone Stell Radial 500 are the only known original equipment tires from 1975 - 1977. B.F. Goodrich and Uniroyal white wall tires have been suggested as possible original equipment for the Corvette in these years, but both manufacturers deny this."

I bought Uniroyal white letter radial tires along with a set of steel wheels for my 76 the very first year. I took the Firestones with the aluminum wheels off for the winter. I have since used the Uniroyals for long term storage on any of my Vettes. They don't seem to flat spot too badly.

On my '76 I had Goodyear Steelgards. These tires are no longer manufactured or reproduced.
