Fast90 Crankcase Vent Issue
I recently installed a Fast/90 on my 01' Z06. The 90mm throttle body is a GM. The factory ls6 intake and throttle body set up has one vacume port for the block valley vent operated with a PCV valve and connects to the intake behind the throttle body. The other comes from the passenger valve cover to the throttle body. This throttle body conection allows for vacume and back flow for the crankcase vent. I am having trouble duplicating this set up as the ls2 throttle body does not have a connection provision for this throttle body connection.
If there is anyone out there that has had to deal with this any input would be appreciated !
Thanks!

Yep,
Just finished reading your thread on the install, that's what I was thinking but wanted to get it right the first time. That will do it!
Thanks and Merry Chistmas!

True. I have a Honker for the cold air so the air bridge would put the connection in front of the MAF since they re-locate the MAF. Also, the coupler for the Honker is really stiff and thick, so using this in a thin aftermarket coupler may not work as well. But hopefully you get the general idea and the part from Callaway is only a couple of bucks if you need it.

I installed a short barbed plastic pcv tube in a hole that I made in a SLP smooth coupler. Then used a PCV hose from a 1990 350 Chev pick up to join the stock fresh air hose to the barbed pcv tube.

I put on the fast 90/90 setup. Then ran the needed PCV line to the air bridge as recommended. As mod fever hit again, I purchased AFR heads. Upon installation, it was a shock to see the huge amount of oil film in the fast intake. With advice from my tuner, I put a small filter on the valve cover and called it good. The motor runs great!

Acouple of ya have mentioned a small filter. I would love to do the same, can anyone provide a part number and where to get it? Also it looks like every photo I have seen, the PCV has been omitted any feedback on this?
These items were not discussed on the sticky page, it would be usefull for tons of DIYers.
Thanks!

Definitely doing a tune once I'm done. My tuner uses HPTuners and has always done right by me. The car is safe to drive with this upgrade I just would not pound on it till it was tuned.

I also put on a oil catch can into the PCV system. The small filter comes for any part store. I puchased mine at an Auto Zone, fitted a rubber hose from valve cover to it with a hose clamp. Also, the new LS2 throttle body, a tune is required by someone who specializes in vettes. I found this out the hard way.

Just for those who don't know ... you don't want to put the port for the fresh air tube anywhere in front of the MAF sensor, as it will eventually contaminate the MAF sensor with oil film.

Starting in 2004 on all LSx engines, the PCV "valve" was a 2.5 mm orifice located in the hose fitting on the left front corner of the valley cover. Maybe all of the photo's you've seen were of 2004+ cars, or maybe the valley covers had been updated to the new style. On the 2004+ years, there will be no visible "PCV valve".

Mine is there in my photo, however I am swapping to the 04 setup when I do my heads in the spring. I picked up the valley cover and a new set of 04 valve covers off of fleabay that someone removed from a crate motor. They were brand new.
