Is there something like a casting number on the heads too?
If yes, what kind of number should that be, where is it located and can somebody identify the head with the help of the number?

When you remove the valve covers you will find a casting number between the 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 cylinders, depending on which cover you remove. The casting number should be 6 digits. On SB's with stock valve covers, if you remove the oil fill cap and use a flashlight you can see the #'s.
