Oh No! Not More Side Exhaust Questions!
I've decided to go with the side exhaust. I like the stock '69 look but the original style chrome covers are WAY out of my price range. So, like so many of you, I've decided on the fiberglass covers. A friend of mine owns a muffler shop and says he can build a set of pipes for me. So.... I need to get some measurements of the covers. I don't want to buy the covers yet because if he fails I may go a different route. If anyone has the time, I'd really appreciate a couple measurements. Basically, I need to know the outside diameter of the pipes, and the measurements in the photo below looking straight at the cover.
Of course I'd owe you a favor!
Yep - that's Binnie77's fine looking covers in the photo.
Thanks!

I dont have the measurments that you asked for, but I have the following info that may help. On my 74 I have the fiberglass covers. I have a 3" exhaust pipe with2, 4" diamater mufflers all under the cover.

Thanks Guys!
I think I can figure out the pipe design from that info.
Looks like I've got pleny of room to work with under the covers. I was kinda concerned about that. We were going to try to find a couple sections of chambered tube but it looks like just a regular set of glasspacks should work too. Thanks for taking the time to check it out for me - I REALLY apprectiate it!
