Default new best at track

Went to the track last time this year ran 7 times best 11.694@119.11mi 60ft 1.891 best speed 120.25 mi et 11.822 1.920 60. Wanted 11.5 but could not get there. My best before was 11.7 @ 117mi so I though I could lower et to 11.5. My tran still won't shift into 3 right and that cost me. I won't have to wory about that anymore because I lost 3rd after I got home. Huges t400 with about $500.00 of harden parts and it never work right I wont but from out of town any more.

 Those times and speeds are incredible! Congratulations! Are you running a "stock" 502ci 502hp or have you made additional mods to the engine?

Only mods are comp cam 1.8 roller rockers might change cam and port heads this winter and go to 10.5 comp. One guy that is at the track all the time said I was King of the street tires. Said he had not seen anyone run that fast on street tires all year

je68, every time I see your car I want to start modding mine! A new 502/502, L88 hood, some wheels and tires...... What wheels and tires do you have on there BTW ?? And how do you avoid getting banned? Do you at least run with a hardtop? You would still need a rollbar around here. MJ

Great times. Didn't know the GM502/502 had that much in it. How much does your car weigh? What was your 1/8th mile times and mph?

That is hauling. How do you get away with running those times. Around here faster than 13.99 with a convertible you need a hardtop or roll bar. 11.99 and faster you need a rollbar no matter what.

They won't say anything until under 12.0 I have only been under once this year before yesterday. Was waiting for them to say something but they never did. Had a guy in a beatup 70 chev said they told him not to run under 12.0 after a 11.9run. The track is KCIR and the city is trying to cloes it down maybe they didnt care because it was the last day of year. I am trying to post ticke but I am not very good at it. My 1/8mi was 7.569 @95.47mi

Wheels are American Raceing Torque trust 2s with BFG g-force 245-50-17. I think stock weight for a 68 is 3200lb. I do have a becool alum rad alum heads intake wheels water pump and my headders must also save some weight over the stock cast iron

The main thing is not to spin off the line or it runs 12s to 13s I just take off easy to about 10mph before I can nail it.
