Will a Big-Block fit under a L-82 hood??
Does anybody know if I can get a Big Block to fit under my '74 L-82 hood? Is there a whole lot involved in the swap? Other than headers and motor mounts? Thanks in advance, Jay

Yes.
Need to have a Torker II manifold and a Edelbrock Pro-Stack air cleaner.
Its a tight fit - really!
But it works - I run this in my 77 Vette which came with the same hood as your L-82.

It will fit. As said above, you need a lowrise intake, like a stock Corvette 73-74.
Pulleys and mounting brackets are getting harder to find. But, a 454 was stock in your 74. Do a search for Bence, he is doing a BB conversion in his 74.

One more question. Can I use my existing Power Steering pump and Brake Booster? I've got a chance at a nice 454. Thanks alot, Jay
