Yes, a 1973 Gremlin X with a 304V8 and a Levi interior ;). She liked the jeans thing. Was our honeymoon car down to Old Orchard Beach in the USA. Still have her after 26 years: the Wife that is, the Gremlin is long gone. The Corvette came after the mortgage was history. She loves it although it's financial needs cramp her style on new furniture, rugs, etc. at times ;) .

No, but there have been offers I think, have had women yell at me to take them for a ride. Had a girl at a drive up hold my hand and drool over me, came back a week later in the family car and she won't give me the time of day.

No, I' married but I've had lots want to take pictures of the car or have their friend take a picture of them with the car. If I weren't married I'm pretty sure it (the Vette) would have its benefits.

Well, the car (1978 coupe) attracted her, but it was the Kansas City Chiefs season tickets that closed the deal :D (BTW, that was back was they were halfway decent, they just suck now, but I still have the tickets).

We are going on three years of marriage, and she has her own Vette now!

Ive had my share of girls for the vette. but nothing really fancy, or worth keeping. On the other hand if I had spent 20 grand on a Civic Si, I'd probably be getting numbers Left and Right. Being in high school has its advantages, along with its disadvantages.
+ Only kid in school with a vette
+ Only kid on the local strip with an old vette
- its not new
- its not foriegn for what girls my age like.

For example, last nite i went to the berlin turnpike with a real cute girl, in the vette, when she saw an integra, civic, or eclipse, she would scream out the window "NICE CAR!!!!" even if it was stock.. I wonder how far the walk home was for her.

Well, a good friend of mine had to have her picture taken with me and my car when I bought it...and now she tells everyone at the law school she's studying at that I'm her boyfriend and shows them the picture.

The ironic thing...it might just be true after the holiday season...we'll see. :smash:

Because she thought my 64 GTO Convertible was just too cool, she liked the smouldering look in my eyes when I lit a cigarette too. That was 34 years ago. The GTO is long gone and so are the cigarettes, but she is still here, although sometimes I think the Corvette is going to get rid of her....If I'm lucky!! :)

Haven't had the Vette long enough to tell.. I hope so. But YES to my motorcyle. Ladies love Harleys.. must be the vibrations in the seat :lol: :lol:

I had a girlfriend for about 6 or 7 months and then I bought the Corvette, hid it in the garage and didn't tell her about it. About 2 months later when I had it all fixed up (not leaking) I picked her up with it, she really liked it. On the next date with the Corvette we saw a bunch of her friends, I think she wanted them to see my car so she told them to go there, but some of her friends liked it to much and they started flirting with me, I wasn't really comfortable with that so I tried to ignore them. When I called my girlfriend up the next day she told me I should go out with one of her friends since I liked them more, I tried all I could to get her to go out with me again but nothing worked.

So I lost a girl because of my car, but it's the car I've wanted since I was 6 so I guess I can live with it.

I can't say I've ever picked a girl up with my 'Vette. Normally whenever I take a girl out for our first date I usually take my Chevy Blazer. Then if there is a second date, I'll usually take her out in the 'Vette. I don't want a girl to like me just because of the car I drive.

However I do notice, when looking in my mirrors while driving, that A LOT of women check out the 'Vette as I pass them. I suppose it could have its advantages....

About a month after I graduated from college, I went on campus to use the ATM. As I walked out to the car I saw a girl checking out the car/me (at least I think it wasn't JUST the car...that's my story and I'm sticking to it). Anyway, I've got the top down, and as I look over my shoulder to back up, I see she's walking over. She comes up to the passenger's side, gives a long look to the car, and says "Do you have a girlfriend?" After I said no, she reaches in her pocket, pulls out a piece of paper on which she had written her phone number, hands it to me and says "call me if you want to do something tonight."

Short answer to your question: yes.
