Supercharged Corvette ZR1 Cancelled
According to my GM insider source the Corvette ZR1 program is cancelled and GM will build the car as a Cadillac instead.
I'm a little skeptical, the same source insisted in the past that the Blue Devil will have a supercharged 7L engine.
Anyone has information on this?

This thread should be locked and we should all move onto something else.

The claim was simply that the car would be marketed under the Cadillac mark, that's all.
I personally don't believe it, just looking for info if anyone heard anything that would confirm it.
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

In case it's not clear to all, I didn't make this claim. I heard it from a source (GM employee) and wanted to see if there is any substance to this rumor. The rumor being that the car will be marketed under the Cadillac brand.

When I saw this thread at first, I thought my wild imagination was actually right when I said the LS9 supercharged was just a front and a new technological 4 cam 32 valve motor was slated instead.
This thread gave me the highest high and the lowest low all in one post.

XLR-V is already a supercharged N* and not getting a supercharged LS. As much money as GM put into the ZR-1, its highly unlikely it was "dumped". The only Cadillac that has an LS engine is the CTS-V which is a month away from being unveiled (and pics have already surfaced). Now, pushed back would be more believable. Canceled is highly unlikely.

You sexy devil,
I don't have any documentation, simply posted what I was told by a GM employee.
I realize it is hearsay, but it doesn't make it bs. You freely passed on information you encountered here:
in this thread:

As I stated before I, myself has not put much credence to the Cadillac story. It is way too late for that IMO.
Cheers.

People, please, unless you're talking to a GM corporate executive or someone DIRECTLY involved with the ZR1, I don't want to hear it. Yes, that's how bad I think it's gotten here. The number of nonsense threads claiming they have a reliable source is getting rediculous! So unless you're talking to a top dog, please DO NOT start a thread claiming you have official information!!!!
