Security horn '80
Maybe it doesn't like the cold. System works when tested except horn pulses with an actuation sound but no audible blast. I recently painted it, reinstalled, tested and it worked (warmer weather). Will remove to inspect. Doesn't look like it disassembles......Happy Turkey Day! :smash:

Speaking of horns, could anybody tell me what tones the horns on my 81 are supposed to be. I think there should be 3 of them all together.

This is from memory but I'll give it a shot. Two front horns are A and D note. The alarm is a C note. I thnk this is correct. Can any one confirm this? lou

The tones for the horn in 80-82 are A note and C note. There was no alarm horn in 81 or 82. The alarm horn function for 81 & 82 was performed by the service horns on the vehicle.
Only 1980 had a seperate alarm horn but don't know what note it sounded.
