Check out the archives, especially on the 2nd and 3rd points... Also check the C-3 forums, as the chassis is the same and clearances are similar. A friend of mine is putting a ZZ 383 in a C-3, so I am interested in anything you find.. My comments:

I agree on the distributor.

Lots of good manifolds will fit. Not just "very low profile".

I think the early pan will have the dip stick on the wrong side and will not fit front and rear? I understand that the supplied pan should work fine.

Also: There is a trick we discovered to fitting the GM serpentine belt system to a C-2/3 chassis. I'll add the link to the solution as an edit here...

A one piece rear seal externaly balanced flywheel.

The early oil pan will not fit. Two piece rear seal vs one piece.

I also have a 383 stroker (Not GM's ZZ) and used an RPM Air Gap intake, and kept my SB 63' hood.

The 383 is a small block, So you wont have any hood cleance issues with the intake , C3 is a differnt story............ just my 2 cents I recomend MSD pro billet tach drive dist w / box........installed on my 66 BB in 1996 ........... absolutely no ignition problems......... The Dog
