I say either a duralast (autozone, 2yr free replacement) or a A/C DELCO. I have a delco and it is sealed.

I put an Optima in my 72 BB the other day. I had a 68 years ago and never liked the idea or smell of the battery in the drivers compartment. The optima's are expensive ($130), but you don't smell it. I know others who use them off-road and swear by them.

I use an Optima because I do not like the idea of having a conventional battery inside the vehicle. Also, my vette isn't a daily driver and the Optima seems to hold a charge longer.

Exide and NAPA both have similar batteries on the market now.

I don't know the name of it but it is a jel type of battery in stead of acid and they are deep cycle hold charge for a long time.

I think any of the "sealed type" would work. Just get the most cranking amps you can get.
