How much horsepower with addition of Dynomax super turbos
I have a l-48 that is bone stock and decided replace the original mufflers this year, I put on Dynomax super turbos and would like to know as a base how much more hp these mufflers really add ?

anytime you increase the flow through the system, you gain power. and the superturbos flow very well. just bolting on the mufflers +5-10 hp. with 2-1/2" duals +20 hp. with headers... :D

The Dynomax mufflers will probably offer less back pressure as compared to stock. Less back pressure means less low end torque. The L-48 might not make enough power/exhaust to take advantage of the new muffler. Overall performance could have decreased.

I doubt you'll feel the difference between these new muflers and your stock ones. Get them for the sound you like, not HP (with a stock engine). I removed my stock mufflers and installed straight-thru Edelbrocks, and the only difference is the sound. IMO, all the talk about muffler CFM flow is a bunch of hot air when you're still running stock manifolds and pipes.
