Default another fuel gauge question

The fuel gauge on my 75 reads full all the time, even when the key is off. Any ideas other than replace the gauge?

Take the wire off the sending unit and ground it to the tank. The gauge should swing over to empty. If it does, Then the sending unit is bad, if it still doesn't move, you need to check the wire for continuity from the sending unit to the gauge. IF the wire checks good, I would check the the connections from the wire harness to the the gauge. If its all good, then look at a gauge. lou
