Default Stupid Question of the night....

How in the hell do I get the upper BJ out? Did I grind the rivets from the wrong side. I thought I could diegrind the head off and beat the BJ out. Wrong! Is there a trick??

Ok, quit laughing and give me a hint...

I did the same thing. I ended up carefully center punching and drilling from here. I remember thinking(afterwards) that it might have been easier using an air chisel from the other side(underneath). You might consider that first.

Grinding and punching didn't work for me.

Give it a whack with a BFHammer from the opposite side. This will move the balljoint a hair so that you will be able to turn it back over and see where to use a centerpunch. Then flip it back over and knock it out. Should be a peice of cake!

Heh! you did alright. At this point just center punch the rivit down. It will fall thru the other side. You can also put a dull chisel under the ball joint flange (by the rivit ) and pound the chisel in underneath this will force the balljoint up leaving the rivits stuck in the a frame then just pound them thru with nothing in the way. I'm assuming you don't have air tools handy. :)
