Default I guess it didn't end up TOO bad.(BIG!!VERY BIG!!)

Not too long ago, my radiator and pretty much every part of my cooling system took a huge crap. So, I replaced alot, and got the "detailing bug" I don't think i ended up too bad...

For those who see these. PLEASE give me your honest opinions.

Looks great. Your hard work paid off. I shoulda used the semi-flat black. Nice touch with the black Edelbrock. Did you use black paint or marker?

Here's the one I'm working on.

Pictures one, two and three... :U
Picture 4 looks great up to the radiator support, vacuum actuators and vacuum resevoir.

Picture 5, great except for the master cylinder and the coolant tank.

Looks like a great "whileuratit" story in progress. I got a bunch of red x's after that.

EDIT: I see them now. DId you clean up the orange overspray?

Well, I haven't had much time to spend with the engine. I've been doing a lot of think though. I plan to just clean up the bottom and add new heads(64cc-sportsman-maybe), timing chain, new cam(268H), new intake(sportsman-maybe) and Holley DP 650. That should revitalize this block. I don't know what kind of compression this setup will crank with the stock pistons though?

I'm gonna hold off on the AFR heads for now.

Just a small criticism Aaron if I may.
A little more time with the masking tape would have given you a better overall result, but a good job nonetheless.
It's always great to see someone take time making their engine bays more presentable.

1970 stigray=I'm Ken73, and 74mammarays son. I used a sharpie marker on the intake.

I cleaned all the over spray on the valve covers with lac. thinner.I didnt bother with the exhaust, because I'm hoping to get new exhaust and a cam for X-mas(which will get a chrom timing cover). I've got an Edelbrock Perfomer 600cfm carb since. And a new throttle cable braket for the carb. The fuel pump and lines are metal again. I've cleaned up the vac. hoses and stuff by the head lights, but I haven't painted because I need to get new hoses. I have some leaks to fix so the head lights will wokr.. When I change the hoses, I'll paint all that stuff up there. I've got new sand blasted A-arms(painted gloss black) with poly bushings being put on for me at the frame shop.

After X-mas and I get the front of the car how I want it. I'm going to start tearing into the rear. Painting and moding. I want to get a mono-leaf and a rear sway bar. I think i can get alot more done if i clean and paint while I work on things. Plus, when your done working, and you've got soemthing nice and clean instead of dirty, you'll want to work more often.

The good thing is,In school we have a sand blasting cabinet. So, If I get a new cam for X-mas, I'll sand blast my intake and make it all nice again.
I wish i had taken pics of the roller rockers on the heads. nothing looks quite as good as a roller rocker set up.

Hmm, yeah, that came out sounding more critical than I meant it to be. Basically I meant, huge improvement, but a little more detail work and it will be GREAT!

High temp ceramic paint. The same stuff I used to paint my engine, just black.

I know it's not the BEST out there. But, It's a HUGE difference. I've got one of the cleanest engine bays in school, aside from my LS-1 friends.

Aaron-74, looks good. That's the way is starts, you clean and paint a part, put it back on and chose another part, pretty soon the whole engine compartment in clean enough to eat off of.
Mine started here:

and is now here with several parts on the work bench to add this winter

Keep up the good work. Rod

Alwyn678- Everything was by passed. The heater cores lines were cut. I think there's water in there too. I don't know what happened to the A/C, it doesnt work. It's either the switches inside, or it just needs to be charged or possibly both. But even if I had A/C I would still just drive with the windows down and T-tops off. I like to hear the car.

Red73-I LOVE your car. I want your engine, and someday, my car will be as nice as yours. I'll just have a 6-speed instead of an over drive trans. I really want a 385 with pretty much with what you've got on yours. Someday, I think are 73 will be as nice as yours as well. Ken just wants to put fuel injection on a Cross-Ram intake.
