Conratulations Jeanne Linke winning ECS CC
Congratulations to Jeanne Linke who won her first Corvette Challenge driving John Panuzzo's Torch Red C4. She is our second female winner in history. She defeated Chris Young in the final.
Rumor has it that we will be seeing more of this combination in 2008

Lemme get this straight...a fine lookin' young female in a red Corvette that not only enjoys drag racing but is also damn good at it?
Pinch me, I think I've died and gone to heaven!
Congrats Jeanne, great driving and a stellar win against some seriously strong competition.

And to be honest after she won 3rd or 4th round, SHE was telling ME to relax I was like an a butterfly in heat.. running all over the staging lanes.. double checking my weather station etc...
I know she had 2 or 3 rounds that she ran right ON her dial within a few thousants...
Hmmmmm wonder if we saw possibly the next "Rookie of The Year" today in a preview of next yr's series...

Call me OLD SCHOOL but the only one that should be in that car is JPee. Jeanne Linke is a racer at a hold different level and has proved it by her winning.

John haven't we had "SEVERAL" other i.e "Rookies" who have had previous drag racing experience...
i.e. Farley, Korreck, and one other I can think of off the top of my head.. The rules state you are considered a Rookie in the CC if you were never signed up for points in THIS series !
Also lets look at NHRA...
A newcomer to any series I know of is a rookie. Was Ashley a rookie? Was Jason Line a rookie? My point is they had years of prior experience
If the racers are unhappy with that I think the guys/girls who race "OUR" series should contact Redgar and request a rule change!

The cutie beats up all us old men Congrats to Jeannie & JP. We're going to have to get her signed up here, so she can read her accolades.
I need to give Jeannie special thanks for beating JT in the quarters, moving JT & I into a tie for the championship. I was watching from the line and when i saw JT hit the brakes i thought he had her covered. When i saw her win light come on, i realized it put me on top of the points with the tie breaker. Next round i went red.....whew.
