Classic Auto Insurance
I just received a quote from Haggerty Classic Auto Insurance for $255.00 per year for my 1982 CE. Anyone had any experience with them? Thanks!

Re: Classic Auto Insurance (supertracks)
Just great rates! Others have reported that they pay fast and have never given anyone grief. I pay $147 for $17,000 here in New Mexico.

Based on all these endorsements, I just called Haggerty for a quote. After I admitted that I may drive my car to work twice a month, they said that they were not interested in insuring me. Also, they won't insure anyone who drives over 3,500 miles/year.

i'm shopping around for insurance for everything i own. i called haggerty and they quoted me $275/yr for 300,000/300,000,agrd value $16,000. i rec'd the rest of the application in the mail.it doesn't state a mileage restriction, and says every driver in the house has to have a daily driver other than your vette.on the phone they said they preferred i not drive it to work, because of the traffic, but did not say i couldn't occasionally. the Cincinnati Ins co has quoted me the same coverage,4K/yr,etc for $190/yr,they also cheaper on my house,i think i may go with them.

I don't know how some people get such different info from Hagerty. Sometimes I wonder if it is a different company. When I called them 4 years ago, I told them that I occassionaly drive the Vette to work on a sunny Friday, and that I put around 5 to 6 thousand miles a year on the car. I aslo told them I take the car on out of town business trips. I have been with them 4 year...and each year they renew my policy. I don't know what to tell you.

Re: Classic Auto Insurance
Why not declare Fridays ... Drive Your Vette To Work Day? Then you all park together and it becomes a car show. And you are allowed to drive your Vettes to car shows. :blueangel:  :blueangel:
