Thank you cotter pin gods...
I'm out to lunch to run a few errands (just got back) and as I'm nearing my office I got ot donshift and my clutch has disappeared. Now I know there was a pedal there a second ago. I pull over and find that my pedal is on the floor (stil hinged but resting against the floor). Come to find out the pin clip that hold the pedal to the clutch linkage has sheared. Super. As I fiddle around with it I see that there is no way in the world I'm gonna get this back together with the broken clip and my leatherman. As I'm fiddling around to get under the dash more some of the carpet comes loose (well I was going to replace that anyway) and low and behold what is under the carpet..... the a brand new unmolested cotterpin...
Oh my.. will it fit? Please fit..Please fit... whamo! It fits! So now I limp back to the office. Just praying it will hold until I get home. I guess this will give me chance to practice my clutchless shifts!! And of all of the days to wear a white shirt :mad
Thanks again to the magical cotter pins gods...

Quick! Buy a lottery ticket!
It's like I always say: "If you can't fix it with duct tape, bailing wire, velcro, or crazy glue... by God, it's broke."

You are one lucky dude. That's a great story (other than the fact that it broke in the first place).

i had a similar thing happen to me, but instead of the clutch pin, it was the brake pin that fell out !!!! I was very lucky the pin fell out before I went to make the 5 mph turn into my driveway. Just about anyplace else, any intersection, stoplight etc. would have been a serious accident. MJ
