Just got back from the hospital.
Hi All,
I was putting the rear-end back in the car and did not roll out far enough before I sat up. For my troubles I have a 2-inch gash almost down to the bone and six staples on the top of my head. And one heck of a headache. Why did they ever design in that sharp corner on the rear of the back fender well? Ouch.
Joe

Gee I hope it's on your forehead so we can change your handle to "Frankenstin".
Seriously, hope you feel better soon.

Yikes! I've got several hand scars from working on the Corvette, but no head scars (wood :smash: ). I hope you made good progress with the rear anyway.

Did you hurt the car? I hope those staples are factory original parts.
Sorry, hope you heal quick. :)

Man, I'm sorry to hear about ya messin' up your hat rack!
I bet you'll be quite popular at the office in the morning. Everybody loves to heckle the "injured guy".
On the bright side, I bet that you will NEVER hit your head on that particular corner again!
One of my favorite sayings is "You ain't had fun 'til somebody bleeds"

Hi All,
Man what a headache. :smash: :smash: :smash:
No I did not get the car dirty. And I actually finished putting the last side bolt in while I waited for the ambulance. Boy was my wife mad at me. I don't know why? I had to promise to lay low on the car until I get the staples out in 7 to 10 days. Bummer. I have most on next week off.

Hi Joe,
Sorry to hear about your mishap.I am always hitting my head on something. I don't have much hair so I'm always bleeding. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

Joe, I'm not sure what to say here. The wife now has one more reason not to let you play with cars. I hope you feel better soon and the headache goes away. I'm surprised she didn't make you drive yourself to the hospital. She may make you where a helmet next time you work on your car. Rod

Re: Just got back from the hospital. (Red73)
Rod,
The usual caused this problem. I was in a hurry. I had so many things that I wanted to do because of the nice weather that I was in a rush to get the rear-end in the car and I was just plain not careful. If I had taken the time to set it up more carefully I would have not had to rush to switch positions and crack my head. I will take my time with the rest of the project just as soon as my body armor gets here.

Sorry to hear about your head. Have you ever pulled the floor jack out from under the car and into your knee? I had a habit of doing that but I was able to quit doing it .

at least you didn't damage anything impotant ;-) :D
X: Hope it feels fast. If it scars, just remember plastic surgery can do miracles these days.
