Default Brake pedal goes to the floor.

On my 72 with power assisted brakes the pedal felt soft and went to the floor with the brake light coming on. I just noticed it last night while sitting on a slight incline.

Both the master cylinder and power booster were replaced 1.5 years ago with new (not rebuilt) parts.

I did add a few onces of fluid but no improvement.

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Check for fluid leaks near the tires. Maybe something came loose? When was the last time you bled the brakes? If you haven't since 1.5 years ago then it probably just needs bleeding.
good luck

Have you got stainless steel inserts in your calipers? My brakes got worse and worse and finally went all the way to the floor when my seals on the pistons began to leak.

Time for a brake job, which includes removing and inspecting calipers for leaks, pads for wear (including uneven wear), rotors for scoring or discoloration, fluid for clearness (should be clear enough to see bottom of master cylinder, repairing or replacing damaged parts, and finally bleeding the brakes with new fluid throughout the entire system. Oh, and most important of all is checking and adjusting parking brake so it will lock rear wheels while you are driving 25mph.
