Alright Chicagoland Gun Nuts, who want to go to Buffalo Range tommorrow, Sunday, 11-4
I am leaning towards just jumping in my blown Z06 and take advantage of this great vette and shooting weather, and about 75% sure I am going to blast up to Buffalo Range in Ottawa, plan on arriving there around 11AM, and shooting a couple hundred rounds of .223 hard ball, through my assault tactical style, customized Ruger Mini 14, that I picked up this spring.
Anyone up for this as sometime spontanaitity works best with this stuff!
We can simply meet up there as the carvan would be too complicated on this short notice.

Wow.
Great idea.
Didn't think there were gun owners in the mix.
Too bad I can't make it as I am storing my vette for the winter tomorrow.
I haul it up to a safe hide a way in Wisconsin.
I usually go to the indoor range in the winter.
Good way to get the mind off of the snow, etc.
I would really like to go to an out door range a shoot stuff besides paper targets
I've got some 190 grain loads, hydro tips, etc that should make stuff explode!!
Anyway have fun and post up if you are up for this again!

MATT,
I be a gun nut my friend and there are a few here!
Have to go to my God Daughters/niece 17 year old B_Day party tonight so probably won't be back online until late night.
Keep in mind that if you have an FOID card I am pretty certain you can bring a guest with you so something to consider to get some more forum members involved with this.
Perfectly Frank has an FOID car and he is up for this and so JOHNNY VETTES I think may be joining me and FRANK.
Also, this is a great chance to see some nice fall colors out in the Country in OTTAWA, etc.
Will post up in the AM for sure if i go and about 90% certain I am in at this point as old man freakin winter is right around the corner and time is getting short on the outdoor activities!

Safety Car
Got your call earlier this evening Jim..... as you know I was out in cordova today racing my Z06..... left my house at 6am and didnt get home till 9:30 PM, between loading up the trailer, the long drive both ways and swapping tires it was a looooooong day. Gonna try and make it tomorrow but like I said, wont know for sure till morning, still have to unload the car off the trailer and drop off the trailer (storage yard is close to the house).
Got a new best today as well 11.66@119mph

MIKE (MVR) congrats on your best et and mph that is smoking for a stock C5 Z06 with headers, CAI and drag radials, but you and I both know those Elec. Blue C5 Zs are the fastest!
Call me around 9am BRO and hopefully you can meet us at BUFFALO RANGE as we have at least 3 vettes driving up there (myself, Johnnyvettes, Perfectly Frank and the Chicago Typewriter is expected to make an appearance).
I have a semi auto THOMPSON that looks just like the Typewriters avatar pic. but its up at my buddy's farm in WI getting cleaned from last week (otherwise would have brought it as its fun and so heavy feels like your shooting .22 instead of .45 acp!

Safety Car
My buddy has 3 bikes, '07 R1 (track bike), '07 R1 (street) and a '07 GSXR600.
So I'll be enjoying this last warm weekend on a bike today
Dont shoot your eye out Jimmy

This was a FREAKIN BLASSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT to say the least! a
We had the perfect day for Mega Outside Fire Power and a 4 vette Caravan out to Ottawa (which is very close to Starved Rock) with RandyVettes on our flank in his daily driver.
Myself, Johnnyvettes, Perfectly Frank, Len (LDB C5 and his son), Randyvettes and MIKE (MVR 55) all made it and has a RIOT!

Jim,
I wish I could have made it out. I'd like to do this with you guys sometime if there's an opportunity to do it next year, and I'll bring plenty of ammo, just let me know what to bring!
BTW, I still have some 45 ACP Winchester JHP around, I think 14 rounds, if you need a little extra to feed your typewriter.
