FS:383 LT1 stroker motor (12,000 miles)
Engine is sold!
Thanks CF.
RG
This is an engine I built 4 years ago for my 95 and used it until last year when I replaced it with a bigger 396 stroker. It was running fine when removed. It's been setting in the garage for a year now with me trying to decide what to do with it. I could put it in another car, sell it as is, or tear it down an sell it in separate pieces. I going to try a complete sale of the engine first to someone looking for a stroker on a budget.I am selling this to help fund new fikse wheels for my ride. I have $6500 invested in these parts. I am only asking 2400.00 at this time to keep from having to tear the engine down. If it doesn't sell, then I will tear it down and sell parts individually. The only thing I would probably do to this engine since setting up is replace all gaskets before using it.
This will be for local pick-up only in Portsmouth, Va..
The engine consists of the following:
94 (4) bolt corvette block bored .040 over & clearanced for crank 9.00" deck height (10.5 to 1 compression)
Callies forged Stealth crank 3.750 (std/std mains and rods)
Callies forged I beam rods 5.850
AFR/TPIS heads 187cc with 54cc chambers 7/16" studs/guideplates 2.02/1.65 valves, 600 lift springs
(Felpro 1284 head gaskets .039")
JE/SRP forged silicon alum. custom pistons -16cc dish 3/16,1/16/1/16 Speed Pro rings
TPIS ZZ-9 billet hyd. roller camshaft 112 LSA 108 LCA 287 Adv. 212/226 at .050", .483/.520 lift w/1.5 rockers
Manley 5/16" one piece pushrods 7.250"
LT4 heavy duty timing chain with late model 95 timing chain cover
Canton 240T 7 Qt. road race oil pan
Melling std. volume oil pump and canton pick-up
Comp cams std. Hyd. lifters
LT1 manifold machined for 58mm T.B. and gasket matched to the heads (Felpro 1284)
ATI super damper with 6.875 dia.(PN 917275)
Stock GM flexplate
Rear crossover water tube assy.for cylinder heads
Polished proform valve covers
There is no water pump, opti, T.B., roller rockers, or injectors with this
engine as I have used them on my 396. I am going to add more info tommorrow regarding part numbers and sizes since I coudn't remember exact numbers at time of posting this. You can also check TPIS site for any other info.on heads and cam. PM me with any other questions you might have.
Thanks,
Rick Geer

Thanks Jim,
I think I waited too late in the season too close to Xmas for people to spend money on serious car stuff plus local pick-up doesn't really help either with possible interested parties outside the area but I priced it hoping it might. I see myself probably tearing it down in the spring to sell pieces separately.
