What Type Of Cleaner To Use?
I need to clean the harmonic balancer before painting it. I bought a Pro/Street balancer and there is oil on it from being shipped. I don"t want to use anything that would damage the rubber ring. What should i use that would not leave any residue?

I always use brake parts cleaner because it cleans everything and leaves no residue. I don't know if it is safe on rubber?

Simple Green, warm water, and a brush. Rinse thoroughly and then wipe with either lacquer thinner or prep cleaner prior to painting. You can safely use lacquer thinner as a rub-on/wipe-off cleaner. It works quite well.
