I'd have put bigger wheels on that coupe.

Jeff,

It looks super. I'll be glad when we get to that stage on ours.

For a second, I thought you borrowed some resto pictures from me
Looks great. Might look something like this when done if you are going stock:

Thanks Rich, it has been a year now and it is fun to finally get to start putting some things back together that are nice and fresh. I sorta hated to roll in the shop next our SWC with 15 year old paint.

Joe, I hope it looks as good as yours someday. I have made the decision to build it stock but I am going to over restore it. I am going to use custom techniques with mostly stock and original parts.

It looks incredible and I love the powdercoat. If you need any pictures there are quite a few on the website link I posted above.

I'm curious though what year frame is that? Unless the pic is deceiving I see the rear frame corner braces that were added later and no mounting tab for the p-brake. Are you using a different p-brake setup or going to modify this one? No big deal just curious.

Thanks, Joe..

Good eye Joe, it is a 76 frame that I converted to a 63 by adding the mounts and rear bumper section. The original wasn't to bad but I just don't like rust anywhere. I also welded all the seams to hopefully make the car ride and handle better.

I did a step by step how to convert for the forum about 7 months ago.

John I have been about a year now but only have about a month of real work on it so far.

Thanks for the all the compliments Jeff

Default Wood body support frame

Jeff,

I am about to start a body off restoration of my 66 vette (purchased new by me in 1966). I am going to need to put the body on a support frame while I am working on the frame.

I noticed the wood support you built? for your 64. Where did you get the plans to build the support or did you just figure it out your self?

If plans are available, where can I get them? If you figured it out yourself can you share your plans?

Thanks, FRED

Hey Fred, someone posted plans on the forum. I think they are the ones that they used in the original plant. You should be able to do a search and find them. It took my son and I a few hours to put it together. We did not do all the glue joints just used a screw gun and lonf sheet rock screws.

Jeff
