Default Leaking differential

My rear end is leaking all over the place, it looks like it's coming from the driver's side yoke. Rear ends are something I have pretty much no experience with, I've changed my u-joints, and replaced the fluid before but that's it. What do I need to do to fix this?

Default Re: Leaking differential (Ben Taylor)

You need to drop the differential. I pull the rear exhaust off. Spare tire carrier. Remove the 1/2 shafts. Pull the the differential carrier. Take the C-clip off the side yoke and pull it out. Change the side yoke seal. This job can be like openning a can of worms. If your going to get this far, I would check the differential for worn parts and at a minimum, replace all the seals while you there. lou
