how much weight can you place on the hood of a 72? anybody ever had a photo taken with two people placed across the hood? I have been asked by a still photographer if he can use my car in a shoot he is doing for a portfolio and he wants to have a model (nicely posed) on the hood. so any help with this question would be great.

Default Re: weight limit (sdotson)

Stress would be directly proportional to area (PSI). I think if a 120lb model were compressed into a 3'x6'x3" blanket and laid across the hood it would not harm the fiberglass too much.
