I didn't know this about c3 clocks!
I had worked on and lubed our clock and it actually started to work, but it ran too fast, so I figured it was old and probably needed replacement, but then I was reading in the owners manual and stumbled across the clock description
and it read " the clock is self correcting, if it runs too slowly adj. it ccw no more than three mins. If it is fast adj. it no more than three min cw. Wow
it worked, just thought I'd share this.

on the bottom of my list of stuff to do is get the clock working... i have to get the wiring to where i would not be afraid to let the car sit without a cutoff

It can get downright habit forming.... especially if you only drive the car occasionally. Get in....Start the engine.... Put on the belts.... Set the clock (it's always running fast) and Put her in gear. :p:

I always recommend folks get an owner's manual. They're worth the cost and contain all kinds of information. :)
