i am stopping to get gas last night and two hotties are checking me and the CAR of course and come over and start asking me question and talking to me..so there is the CHICK FACTOR

A few minutes Later a yuppie in a 911 TT pulls next to me at a light with his wife and at first they are not looking then I see his wife motion to him and then he is looking the car up and down and giving me the big thumbs up..mind you he is driving a brand new 80k + sports car that is called the RESPECT FACTOR

And last but not least..I am winding up the night with the top down and the Flowmasters bellowing out a nice growl in early evening when two guys riding old Harley Choppers Both slow down and give me a big wave REV AND GRIN
That is the AMERICAN ICON FACTOR


The way I figure we have it all covered in one awesome car!!!

About a month ago I was out for a night cruise with the tops out and stopped at a light. I knew someone had stopped next to me, but I didn't look over to see who because I was trying to look cool. I heard someone call over and say"wanna go?". I looked and it was a Lane County Sherrif with a teen on board for a ride along. I couldn't think of anything to say so I just smiled and waved.


Then I punched it and left them in a cloud of blue smoke! :bs

My wife and I are looking for a new house. On weekends we drive around neighborhoods. In those neighborhoods we noticed that whenever a bunch of teenage boys are playing basketball in a driveway, they always stop the game until we pass. I don't know if they are looking at my wife or my car.

There's a boy here in the neighborhood who is always biking around my car and staring at it. He doesn't have the notion of what a Stingray is, if they are cheap or expensive, old or new, rare or common, he just seems to love the car. He asked me if it was a race car. :cool: I said no, and he replied, "but it's fast, isn't it?" :D

I thinks it is a tie between the Sharks and the Mid-Years. If I could convince my wife, I'd have a copy of both. Now I just have a Shark.....and love it's lines.

Well, the way I always describe my beautiful '79....

There was never a car built that looks like it, and there never will be again! :yesnod:

It's shape is incredibly unique! What other car has front fenders than flare up like the C3s?!? None that I know of!

Even the C4s and C5s aren't as sharp! (Although I'd own one if I had the chance!)

When I first got it (back in May), I took a buddy of mine for a spin. As I was telling him the things I love about it, including EVERYONE looks at it as I pass them, we were stopped at a red light.... every car that passed us going the other direction gave a long look at my new baby! And my buddy said "yeah, you're right... everyone's looking!"

What a car!

Now I just have to finish the engine work so I can get it back on the road and enjoy the looks, again!

pointing their fingers at me and trying to get their mother's attention.
She looked over and she smiled, turned backed to her kids and said

I did a road trip yesterday for work and it great how so many people notice the car. When I got to the remote plant and stepped out of the car some people were on break (women, women) and started talking to me:hat , it felt nice. One of them told me that I must work for a different company driving something like that, there were expensive cars in the lot I guess they think it cost a fortune. :lol:

Then later the receptionist (spelling) told me every one wanted to know who's car was parked out front. Strangers at the plant came up and talked to me about it, like were best friends. One lady told me that I could park it in her garage, not quite sure what see meant by that. :cheers:

Last week I took my son to the local dealership to look at the Z06s. They had about 8 new c-5s When I turned around to check my car, there were a bunch of people gathered around my 75 checking it out and no one around the C-5 except me and my son.... Go figure. You always want what you don't have.
