Default my inspiration

saw this vette on ebay a couple of months ago..
been wanting to share it but, hadn't had a chance
to set up my webpage to DL pics...how hard do you
think it would be to recreate the headlights like what
this guy did?

How much did it end up going for on e-bay? Looks like one of the better looking vettes to go on the auction block :) . Someone put a lot of work & care into that car.

Wow! Very impressive....
Looks like the lights are below the bumper.
You´ll have to close the fiberglass openings of the old headlights...
If you take the topplate of the flip ups and bond them into the body with resin amd mat, I don´t see any problem.

Parttime -- If memory serves, Eckler's offered a headlight conversion kit like the one pictured. It was way back (early to mid '80s). It might be worth a call to Eckler to see if they still have the molds. You could also use the pic to advertize in the Forum Want Ads. I would not be surprised to learn there's an old Shark Driver out there who bought the kit and never installed it.

Hasn't that one been on Ebay before? I know I've seen it somewhere.

its nice minus the "ghetto fabulous" wire wheels. TT2's would make it look lots better.

also oneother thing you must think of is inspection in jersey the headlights have to be off of the ground a certain height...and not higher then a certain height...just check with your states inspections first...i still think the car is incredible,id take it just like it is.

drop the rims and put a nice tire on, (so it doesnt look like a rubberband on the wheel) and strip the paint off of that chrome bumper... never have understood that, painting over the coolest part of the car

Car looks very  But also very dangerous to drive at night. With those lights tucked under the nose on a black car, other drivers will have a hard time seeing it...especially trucks! It's bad enough that our cars sit so low to the ground, and road morons are plentiful, but with the lights tucked under... defensive driving skills would be paramount. Still love the car though :yesnod:
