Default Dyno2000 and intake manifolds??

does anyone know how to put more versatility in the intake manifolds? All you can enter is Single Plane or Dual Plane but no types like performer RPM or etc. any thoughts or ideas? :flag

No that's all they allow.
The dual planes they use certainly can't be some of the modern dual planes that flow up to 6500 rpm, and they don't seem to account for small port single planes that are better in torque from huge port single planes, which are top end only manifolds.

If you have either a high rise dual plane or something like a Torker II single plane, it would probably be more accurate to have a line somewhere inbetween their curves for single and dual planes.

Dyno2000 is also stupid when it comes to turbos. Entering 9 pounds of boost or 99 pounds of boost makes no difference on their turbo program, yet do that on a centrifugal supercharger selection, and you get a big difference.

Also, no provision is made for long versus short rods. They don't think that makes any real difference even though it has been dynomometer proven several times that higher rod/stroke ratios increase dwell and improve revving ability as well as horsepower. Don't believe it? Then drive a stock, short rod 400 and compare it with a Z28 302 and tell me which one is more powerful and zingy.

So I know what you're saying. A little fudge factor could help your files be a little closer to reality. It IS a great way to compare things like cams though!!!

get a copy of engine analyzer V3 from http://www.performancetrends.com which is a better program for $60.00 more than DD 2000
