Here we go again.. corvette fever has stricken me one more time!
Hey guys,
I am only 23 and my need for corvettes is becoming unbarable. I just tracked down my 2nd vette. I've almost fully frame-on restored my 73 L-82 over the last 2 years and now I have just purchased a 69 L-46 350-350 (numbers matching)! Honestly I need to get a hold of myself. I picked this beauty up for a little under $6000 US, and it came with stock sidepipes, and the shoulder harnesses option (RARE!). I just couldn't resist buying it, and especially at this price! No frame rust/damage and the car is stright as an arrow. I'll be frame up restoring this one... but on a budget (should be able to save alot of cash because their is almost nothing missing from the car). The guy who was selling it had NO respect for the beauty of a vette.. he told me he thought that he never liked them and that they were over-rated cars! BAH! So i will keep you guys posted with pictures of how it's going with it. Just thought I'd share my excitment with you guys.
Michael.

Let's hope no more.... for a little while at least. :jester

That sounds like a good deal to me also. Somebody the other day bought a midyear for a song also. I am just not that lucky or not patient enough. :nodnod:
Good luck and keep us posted.

Sounds like an incredible buy!! Am off to Las Vegas tomorrow (not to buy a vette but probably to lose mine!!) and just paid $1.61 to exchange CDN to US. Ouch!! However, that's still under $10k CDN for a steel bumper shark with the L46 engine!! Well done!!
I'm almost twice your age and have half as many vettes!! What is wrong with me......

Great deal. There's a '68 or '69 with 2 tops, 350/350, in a field up here. Been sitting for about 10 years. He wants 10k CDN. Sounds like yours is in way better shape. Congratulations.

Well guys she is a beauty. Unfortunately my younger brother decided to play "underwater adventure" with my digital camera so pictures will be a little delayed. But after having looked at well over 20 vettes from 68-71 that I was interested in buying this one just has it all. It is loaded with options and just needs cosmetics. I have already began inspecting all the problem spots on the car.. and to my surprise even Body mount #4 (prone to rust) is still as solid as when it left the assembly line. Well you guys will defintly be hearing alot about the progress on the car and my questions as well :yesnod: A complete new interior has been already ordered for it and the restoration should be underway in a few weeks. Take care and if anyone has any resto tips specific for 69 let me know!
Thanks again guys,
Michael
