Default exhaust manifold bold

I was checking my exhaust manifold and noticed one of the bolts that holds the manifold to the motor is missing. Does anyone know what thread size and length I should use to replace this. Thanks :smash:

Nope. But you can pull one of the others and tell the parts guy "Give me one of these". I'm sure you probably thought of this but I'd be sure to check torque on ALL of those babies.

If you can't find one. I think you can buy a whole set for like 10 bucks at zip. Wouldnt be a bad idea to make em all shiny new. :)

Since you have lost one of the exhaust bolts, you may have blown out that exhaust gasket... As for the size, I agree with the previous posts... Good luck...

I believe they're 3/8-16 tapped holes in the head, just measure the thickness of the head and add the depth of the hole. Some SB's have gaskets a lot don't-just head against the manifold.
I'm in Wlfd if need to look anything on my 69.

Small block are 3/8-16 thread. the short ones are 2 1/4" long (not standard hardware store length!) and the long ones are 3".

My69 -- Your bolt may not be missing. It might be broken off with part of it still in the block. Yuck. Definite PITA.

Thanks for all your help folks. I keep finding more bubba @#%&@ on my car. This forum really helps me make sense
of it. I just don't understand why these people were allowed to get their hands on these cars.
