Easy Way To Tap Into Reverse Wire on C6
Here's another alternative for tapping into your reverse wire when installing GPS headunits. I just installed the DNX7100 and used a Littlefuse Mini Add-A-Circuit. In the passenger footwell, you just plug this baby into the reverse light circuit. Use the attached wire coming off the fuse to hook-up to your reverse sensor from your headunit. Done!

I wouldn't mind knowing where it would be on a c-5. Likely just in the fuse box there but does anyone know off the top of the head just to be lazy. good solution instead of going to the taillights.

I'm guessing this is for a backup camera as this wasn't needed for my AVIC D3 without backup cam. This makes it easy though and I may add a cam.... to the front of the car.

Thanks for sharing this tip, I really hate to tap into auto wiring especially if it is exterior wiring and prone to the elements. This presents an elegant solution to the problem. I plan to install my NavTech backup camera system later this year, it'll be interesting to see what the resolution is on the OEM nav unit. All I have to do is to be able to see the parking curb or what is behind me.

I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this before!!! Does it actually work well for for a camera? We used to grab the light green wire in the harness to the right of the fuse box but now the rp5-gm11 has the reverse circuit built in.
