Default LG Headers - Need to know where to buy and how hard to install...

I'm putting in a fairly big cam at the present and need to know where to buy a Set of LG Headers quick and know how hard they are to install. Thanks,

You can get them from any vendor fairly quickly. Install with the right tools and a lift should take no more than 3 hours if you have some general mechanical skill.

Get them from LG and install is very straightforward. Others says 2-3 hours, I did it in about 6-8 but I am very **** retentive and the install also included Borla Stingers. I don't think anyone will beat LGs price direct. Cheers

I got LG'S on their way in. Curious about the instal. I read on
one of the other threads ypu dont even need to pull the spark plugs out. I was thinking of jacking up the front to remove the stock headers
& x pipe, install the lgs & high flow cats. then driving down to the garage to get the X pipe Etc hooked up to my stinger catbacks. $ 75.00
How far do you need to get the front up ??

You cant do it that way with the LGs. The X pipe, cats and extensions are made to go together as a unit to your axle back mufflers , you cant connect any of it to your factory H Pipe. The connection to your axle back it the easiest part of the whole install.

Much, much easier on a lift about 3-4 hours, on the ground it's probably going to take you quite a bit longer. Be careful running your O2 wires and extensions, use a GOOD torque wrench and take your time. Snapping a header bolt or melting a wirewill ruin your entire project. If you have a shop that you can trust close by, this is one of those things that's worth the $400 or so to have someone else do and be responsible.

If you are really intent on doing them yourself, here's a few links to show you what you are in for:

I can see where the LG's might be difficult to fit with just jackstands, but the kooks were easy to position from underneat without a lift, as they are a little shorter.

I installed them myself also, they aren't hard by any means, just a bit time consuming. Just follow any of the guides above and take your time. I did my install along with Corsa catback on jackstands in maybe 6 hours total including cleaning up tools. You don't need to remove the spark plugs either. Just follow LG's directions and fit everything up loosely, align your catback tips and tighten it all down. Really not a big deal if you can change your oil and install an air intake.

Great pics of the install. I sure wish there was a competent garage around here to do them. I may wind up going to ecs or chuck cow and get the 4.11 diff at the same time and maybe save a little because the catback must come down anyway.

THANKS,

I have been authorized to run a sale by LG and will be doing so shortly. I am able to knock $50 off the price of the headers AND ship them for free which normally costs $70-80 so the header system with cats will be $1845 shipped to your door or $2095 installed. Catless units will be shipped for free. C5 units are available for immediate shipping. C6 units will be available at the end of the week. C6 Z06 units, add $100.

I got mine from my great buddy Anthony at LG for a GREAT price. Retail is $1.899.00, and I got them for $1,699.00 SHIPPED WITH cats. I sold my 07, and now my 08 is on order. If Anthony is willing to offer me the same deal, I will order them again from LG.
