Isn't that part of the drag racing challenge, you red light, you lose :nono: ?

Yes, according to the NHRA rules. Let's change the rules and call "Do Overs" if we red light, NOT. You red light your lose. :nonod:

Yup you red light you lose.

From the winner's side, you should feel just as proud as if you got to the line first.

From the spectator side, you should respect the winner just the same and not look down on the winner and say he got a gift.

If it weren't for the red light disqualification I could Leave on the first yellow and be 60' down the track before you go! Not a good idea

Look at it this way: the reason he fouled was because he knew he needed to get the jump on ya to win.....oh well, thats racin'.... :flag

Yea its an honest win thats part of racing if you leave before the green light you loose. Its just like any other race or game that i can think of if you leave early you get disqualified or penalized (football). I won one of my rounds bracket racing last Wed. when my opponent redlighted I didnt feel it was any less a win than any other round.

I won a very close race against Maurice by a very close redlight. I'll take it   If he spanked me, a redlight win would have very little meaning to me.

PS: If you guys didn't catch his earlier thread, MAURICE BROKE INTO THE 13'S THIS PAST SATURDAY!!!!!!!!

That’s what separates the experenced from the amateurs racers, cutting a good light. You red light, you lose. That's the rules.

When I was racing that was refered to as "Winning Ugly". But a win is a win even if it is Winning Ugly. Nobody ever asks HOW you won, only IF you won!!
